TYLENOL VS IBUPROFEN AND NAPROXEN

TYLENOL® (acetaminophen) is a different class of pain reliever than ibuprofen and naproxen sodium, which are both nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). NSAIDs have been shown to increase the risk of heart attack, heart failure, and stroke, especially in people who are already at risk for these conditions. TYLENOL® does not have this same risk.

In fact, the FDA has required all NSAIDs to carry a warning label about the increased risk of heart attack, heart failure, and stroke. TYLENOL® does not have this warning label because it has not been shown to increase the risk of these conditions.

However, it is important to note that TYLENOL® can still cause liver damage if taken in high doses or for long periods of time. It is important to follow the directions on the label and to not exceed the recommended dose.

If you are concerned about the risk of heart attack, heart failure, or stroke, you should talk to your doctor about which pain reliever is right for you.
